What Makes Us Different
Understanding the role of vestibular medicine doctors in your care

Structured assessment
A structured battery of bedside and vestibular function tests, selected according to clinical assessment, used to investigate the cause of dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. A cause is not identified in every case.

Medical management
Management options include medication, particle repositioning manoeuvres, lifestyle measures and condition-specific therapy. Which options are appropriate, and the benefit obtained, varies between individuals.

Bridging the gap
Working between general practice and neuro-otology, providing dedicated vestibular assessment and coordinating onward referral where it is needed.

Coordinated care
Working alongside our in-house vestibular physiotherapists, and coordinating with GPs and external specialists such as neurologists and ENT surgeons when onward referral is needed.

Patient education
Empowering patients with clear explanations of their diagnosis, prognosis and self-management strategies.
