Vestibular Medicine Courses

Both courses are designed for General Practitioners and medical professionals interested in vestibular medicine. The Basic Course is open to all GPs, regardless of experience level. The Advanced Course requires completion of the Basic Course (or equivalent experience) and is suited for GPs pursuing formal specialisation in vestibular medicine.

The Basic Vestibular Medicine Course is 6 weeks of self-paced learning, which you can complete in your own time. Most GPs complete modules within 2-3 months depending on their schedule. The Advanced Course spans 12 weeks for the core curriculum, with additional mentorship extending over 6-12 months depending on your clinical placement schedule.

Yes, absolutely. The Basic Vestibular Medicine Course is completely free to all GPs. We've made it free because we believe improving GP awareness and competence in vestibular medicine benefits patients across Australia. The course includes full access to our education hub resources, videos, audio modules, and downloadable clinical references.

Basic Course graduates receive a Certificate of Completion from Australian Dizziness Clinics, verifying completion of the 6-week vestibular medicine education program. Advanced Course graduates receive an Advanced Expert Certificate in Vestibular Medicine, which is recognised by our organisation and can support credentialling for dedicated vestibular medicine practice.

Absolutely. The Basic Course is designed as flexible, self-paced learning that fits around your clinical practice. The Advanced Course also balances structured online learning with clinical placements, allowing you to continue your GP work while gaining vestibular medicine experience. Most GPs study part-time while maintaining their regular practice.

Upon enrolment, you'll receive login credentials for our online learning platform. All course materials—videos, audio modules, PDFs, and interactive resources—are accessible 24/7 through your account. You can learn on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices at your convenience.

After completing the Basic Course, you'll receive your Certificate of Completion and lifetime access to the education hub resources. Many graduates go on to enrol in the Advanced Course. After the Advanced Course, you'll join our network of vestibular medicine-trained GPs, with ongoing support, continued access to updated resources, and optional opportunities for collaboration with our clinics and expert network.
